Discover the region ski touring

The Morzine-Avoriaz area offers many possibilities for ski touring. For a discovery or initiation, explore the surrounding peaks such as Nantaux, Bostan or Chalune and some less traditional routes. We can take you into the forest or more alpine areas to ski large valleys or find untracked couloirs. Another advantage of the area is its topography which allows skiing on all slope orientations, enabling the guide to choose the best snow conditions and allowing the vertical gain to be adapted to the fitness of the group. Novice or experienced ski tourer, we have something for you!

Beginners to experts… For all levels!

If you are a “confident” skier and you can descend an ungroomed red slope without a worry, then you can try ski touring! And no need for style, you just have to be efficient! You will then be able to discover behind the scenes, the silent and wild mountains, discovering all this at the leisurely rhythm of the skins under your skis gliding uphill before winning yourself well-deserved descents…

We can offer you circuits with less vertical elevation from different departures around Morzine or Avoriaz, or we can also use the ski lifts to gain some altitude before escaping outside the ski area!

Physical condition and technical level

No need to be ultra-fit for a short ski tour. However, it is an endurance sport and you will need to be able to climb for 1 to 2 hours to reward yourself a nice descent.

We do not offer “mixed group” outings, your guide will be able to adapt the outing and the pace to your fitness level, ensuring a fun outing, the opportunity to enjoy life and the mountain atmosphere.

Your guide will do a safety breifing before heading out (transceiver check, weather and snow forecast, safety instructions). At any time he might have to adapt the trip regarding the weather or the group shape and abilities.
