Crossing the matterhorn

The Matterhorn (Le Cervin in French, Cervino in Italian) is certainly Zermatt’s symbolic summit (4478m). Due to its unique and famous shape it has become a classic route. With your guide you will walk in Edwards Whymper’s footsteps, the first climber to reach the summit in 1865.

Two days :

  • Day 1 : hike up to the Refuge Carrel, 3835 m
  • Day 2 : to the summit and back down via the arête Hornli
